The Norddeutsche HiFi-Tage exhibit took place in the Holiday Inn in Hamburg last weekend.

The german Zuaudio importer, a good friend of mine, presented his line of products with a L 75 I build for him for this event.

It was a lot of fun to attend the exhibit and a lot of questions were asked about the deck.

Here are a few pics.

Cheers,
Matthias

Bet that sounded great (Lenco + Valves + Zu's)   grin

With something this good though, I've no idea why you would want to watch 'Telly' (Telly Savalas)  laugh

First I would like to thank Christian, whom I had the pleasure to meet in Hamburg and who revealed his identity to me there, for his judgement.

Now to Pierres request:

The arm is generally a stock Lenco one, equipped with Desmo V-blocks.

To get the VTA fine tuned I added a VTA-adjuster that is done by a jeweler in Hongkong. (I think that explains the gold plating  smiley )

Werner was so kind to do the counterweight for me.

I needed a heavier one, because the weight of the Zuaudio Denon 103 is so high, I had to move the stock counterweight nearly to the end of the tonearm to get the whole thing balanced.

The headshell is originally a vintage Pioneer carbon unit that I built using a donor original Lenco one to have the thread to do the connection towards the tonearm.

It is wired with vintage single core tinned Western Electric cable from the 50s that I do like a lot.

I wouldn’t believe what difference in sound this tiny length of cable between the pickup and the headshell makes, If I hadn’t heard it myself.
