I found this forum after looking around to find out how to clean and lubricate the platter bearing on my GL75 as it takes a bit of time to get up to speed.

Anyway, I thought I would post some pictures of my GL75. It was built about 4 years ago. The plinth is layered birch ply and MDF painted shiny black with car paint. The turntable was resprayed black to match, not easy to photograph something so black.

Tonearm is my second attempt at a Poul Ladegaard's Air Bearing Tangential Tonearm. Made from black anodised aluminium and a carbon fibre tube from a kite shop for the arm. Cartridge is an A&R P77. Air comes from 2 aquarium pumps in a cupboard. The wiring to the arm proved difficult to get right until I ripped apart an old SCART cable to find some wire for something else. The thin wires inside it were just droopy with no spring in them at all so the arm was rewired with this and tracks perfectly sounding glorious.

Great job on the DIY Ladegaard.  Thanks for posting pics, maybe Piero (Ropie) can add it to the "Master List".

Cool Colin.
And since you did all the work with the Laadegard, you are rewarded with - from what I hear - the best home for Deccas.
Best wishes
