"If the first watt sucks, who wants another one?"

Hi Karl,
let us know how your implementation of the tachometer goes, with details for Dummies please  wink

I don't think I will be fitting a tacho just interested in the implementation.  I wouldn't want to spoil my Speed Controller's nice wooden front cover now would I!!!

Regards,

Karl

you may fix a remote panel nearby your tt, Karl.
in that case you wouldn't need to chop your posh "nice wooden front cover" or would you? undecided  grin

It is really hard to implement such size display into a wooden front panel without involving a CNC router. I am not sure what will be the final result with a hand router.
Obviously the project can be executed in a tiny box having in mind that it is not mandatory to use an Arduino Uno but Pro Mini instead. The size of the later is half of the display. So I think that the whole project may be executed in a cigarette size box. This is how I did it for a friend.

I am sorry, didn't documented it.
Will do so on my next build.
I am just trying to find a suitable box and will document the process.

Forgive me for asking as it may have been stated elsewhere, but how does the tachometer read/know what the TT plater is actually turning at ?
 & would it work with a simple switch for 2x TT say a Lenco & a 301

Hi Jay,
I do not see a reason why it would not work with a switch selecting the Lenco or Garrard.
This means that two sensors have to be involved into the schematics and the switch will select one of them.
Best regards

Hi,
this is the first photo of my working speed controller. Only possible with lots of help from nigel.
It's without voltmeter. I damaged it by some stupid action. A new one is ordered sleepy

It was the 4th of Jan:

After that, I started to finish the cabinet. I had to sand and oil the wooden laterals.

Then I covered them with aluminium foil inside

For the aluminium front, back, top and bottom I did the drawings and a metall processing company did them with a CNC machine.

I screwed all parts together with a new voltmeter and the aluminium knobs, but without the top plate.

A last test at the work bench. Ready!!!! cool Very pound! grin

Now the controller is working in my audio system: cool

You also can see my first Lenco, a PTP. Finished before I started with the speed controller.

Hey Marko, what a wonderful execution of the project.
It looks superbly finished. Congratulations
Your PTP project deserve attention as well. Why not create another thread with it? I am sure it is a looker too...and as you know, here in LH we all love pictures...

Best regards.

Hi Alexandro,
thanks a lot. smiley You will find some information about my PTP under https://www.lencoheaven.net/forum/index.php?topic=28558.0
My plan is to start another project using the original plate of the Lenco, but at the moment I will enjoy what I finished until now. ropies_beer

I need a new one!  sad

Thanks a lot Nigel, for your project!
