New puttied, painted and polished plinth is back home a couple of days ago.
i planned to assemble the Lenco into the plinth next weekend but couldn't wait
So started today midnight and went to bed 3 am when finished soldering and fixing the plate.

here is the results.
She is shining. She is ... a bit too bright and luxury looking  shocked for my rural inhabitation  laugh  laugh
i would say she is glamorous  grin
With her shining polished black surface i may see any fleck of dust. Damn, i need to clean my room!  undecided  azn

Need to install the new arm. When done i will post some more pics and will stop this project
i have been investing too much my time and energy to it already and want to see it finished finally
and get room in my schedule for my horn project and my Braun pcs5 as my mono setup. wink))))

best,

Andrey - you got there at last smiley
Excellent work, very well done indeed and I would say seriously that the finish is beautiful but underneath is all the superb work and ingenuity you put in to the build. Again...well done mate. wink

Cheers,
Steve.

Congratulation on a journey that ended in a perfect goal, just excellent, And as I have read through the post from day to day you just have so many great ideas I must say.

I for one would love to make a "copy" of the motor placement on the bottom plate.

Hi, Niels
if you seriously are interested to make an adjustable motor pod, i may look around as i had two of those microscope tables.
And i definitely do not plan to build any Lenco in nearest future  angel
or search on ebay for "mikroskop antik". usually they were relatively cheap

Thanks for the offer maan

I'm not really sure How I want to do the attachments for the motor, but Im almost sure that I want it mounted on the bottom plate somehow. I think I will start by rereading your posts a couple of times and Im a mechanical engineer so I have a couple of ideas, I have only seen the solution with the motor on the bottom plate, done by you, did you se it somewhere else ?.

Im thinking in the line of a conical cut out of the bottom plate and then reattach by silicon to keep it extra isolated from the rest.

I think it should be possible to make a fixed placement of the motor on the bottom just as precise as from the top (in theory) , so right now I have some fix-points in what I want to do, and one is bottom mounted motor,
I also think I want to reinforce the bearing
16 rpm switch off system
plinth with with fiber gypsom core
single arm

I have a L75 as donor and a Luxmann arm

But first I have a company to sell and a new job to start (and find) so it will be a summer job I believe  grin

And again it has been a inspiration to se what you can do with relative simple means and a ton of ingenuity.

in one of my earlier posts i gave some links to threads here on LH which inspired me to fix a motor on the bottom

Im a mechanical engineer so I have a couple of ideas,

then you definitely need to build it based on your own ideas and post some pics! then it will be another treasure on LH!
anyway this adjustable microscope table for postage expenses may leave my home.

klasse!

No, not now. I have some things to fix on my new arm - i bought it relatively cheap but now need to make some missing parts

Thanks goes to my friend wink

Platter polishing is only in case of stacked two ones. then i think it's worth to do.  laugh

i guess some final pictures of the project.

One of the thing i really wanted to install on my deck was unipivot arm with viscose damping
So i got Audio craft tonearm for reasonable money but with missing armrest and armlift.
Plus to it, the Lenco platter sits quite low and it makes the whole installation process even more difficult.
In my case it was damn worse as the well i have on my deck was slightly smaller in diameter as the armrest base length sad
So i need to make a new armrest base, armrest and armlift. The last one was stolen from the previous arm
but two things were still missing.

First variant of the base and original one:

This wasn't the right one so i ought to make the second one
And when everything on new (second) base was done (including the polishing!!) i decided to increase the diameter of one tiny hole (where the antiskating is screwing)
And no wonder the drill bit was broken INSIDE this tiny hole sad with no way to get it out. So.. i made the hole nearby of the old one. But from the wrong side.   cry
oh dear..

However after six evenings i had spent fighting with unipivot arm installation i managed to fix most of the problems and now my Lenco have her arm.

the arm rest as armrest base was made from 5mm steel + bike spoke

Anticipate your question - i do not know how it sounds as i share my time between two places where i live
and at the moment tts in one place but acoustics and amplifier in another one. Hope soon they will
meet in space and time in one place and then.... i will listen The Music
my greets to all of you for your kind support

Done!!  cheesy
