Thanks, Rob (i guess i'm correct with your name extracted from your tag name)
Hmm.. it sounds good i would say.
you see, English is not my native language so it's difficult for me poetically to describe the sound of the TT.
Also  i guess pick up (with arm) and acoustic define the sound much more than the plinth of the deck.
So my common description - "it's dead silent"  smiley And i'm happy with this

Anyway, thank you for your kind words

best,

ps. my acoustic but for mono only: http://www.lencoheaven.net/forum/index.php?topic=18200.0

Andrey your English is perfect as is your table! Really really love the plinth its such a beautiful base. And your friend did an excellent job of sanding and painting it. Would you say it was hard to make? I like the fact that it resembles the 'Artisan Fidelity' plinth. Stunning!  icon_salut

Watching it i may say it wasn't so difficult but i would never get any closer to the results my friend got.  cry
he was a professional car body repair worker but even with his experience it took him 4-5 weekends to get this result
So it's not impossible, but it's not possible for me, at this point i'm sure, because i hate painting  smiley
The overall idea to get such deck wrapping it by fiberglass is the only way to get a smooth surfaces of birch layered plinth.
Otherwise you finally will see flaws again and again.

Now, when i have this beauty i think that the whole fuss about the look was a bit too much. Definitely it was nice and very
interesting and useful no doubt experience. However, it's just an appearance and has nothing with sound.  smiley

Hi Andrey,
Congratulations on a magnificent build!  Your patience and perseverance are an example for us all.  Although you say the appearance is nothing to do with the sound it must give you great pride of ownership and, reading back over this build, it is clear that the beauty of this deck is more than skin deep. smiley.

Definitely one if not thee, builds of the year!

While working on other projects of my audio set, i felt the Lenco was a bit deserted  sad
So finally i decided to upgrade it to a stacked platter version

i cannot say i hear big differences in the sound but it became much easy to operate with an arm.
Next step in upgrading is to change the plastic arm base to wooden one.
So some more pics will follow soon.

Thanks Mustafa!
She is beauty, i agree. But the credit does not go to me
My friend invested quite a lot of his skills and time to make her look so.
My pride (citing Ian) lays deeper than skin   smiley
