It looks very impressive!    toothy10

On one of the pictures, it looks like the front horn blocks the tweeter a bit.  Do you still have a full view of the tweeter from the listening position?

Andrey, what does the frequency response plot look like now with the horn in place?

Hi, Werner
Blue is just BLH, red is BLH with the front horn attached. Measurments' taken from listening spot (near 4.5 m away)
At the graph of the Freq resp curve the difference is rather subtle: light increase between 200 and 800 Hz; light increase at 4.5 kHz (i did not get why it is here  undecided)
But during the audition you may note it immediately. And I like it. I cannot say it while listening with Sonido driver. With the latter one (sfr200) i prefer the sound without the front horn

Thanks, Niclas
Yes, i do. But the tweeter is off  wink Coral Beta works fine over 16 kHz

John, thanks!

I guess it's time to catch up on some loose ends of my project  Roll Eyes

A few pictures of the project end

Some changes in front panel not only to install the speaker (Coral Beta is bigger than Sonido), but the front horn too
It's quite heavy and needs a tight and strong joint

Gluing two parts together

Installed and checked. It looks good and strong enough

Some more elbow greasy. But i have to admit that the finishing is not my good side,
it would be good to spent few more hours on sending, but i had pull the plug on the fine looks.

I have to admit it looks quite a monstrous with this non-painted front horn

and i decided to paint it in black what makes it visually more acceptable

Semi-side view

This is the end of the project!  shocked  laugh

lovely work Andrey

Oh and I forgot to mention:
The Coral Beta 8 is a beautiful driver.
I never had the chance to listen to one.
But I would be very curious.

Your SPL plot looks very good and well balanced (considering it´s a blh).
That should sound really nice.

Hi, Michael
I appreciate your good words about my project!
I was fascinated by your whole horn system and it egged me on adding a front horn to blh too.
Yes, the project of the ONE horn is over, now i need to find time to make the second  shocked laugh
Yes, i will record a freq resp curve but it will be significantly different from the one i recorded earlier as i made some dramatic changes in a listening room. Will post later about
thank you guys, thank you Billy.
it was indeed a "brave and stupid" project  laugh
I'm still amused how i jumped on it without knowledge how to do it but with great support from a LH community

Last week I digged my first diy frontloaded horns out of my parents basement.
Those must more than 15years old and they have been unused for the last couple of years.
I sold them to a buddy now. I´m cleaning up some of my old stuff.

But before that, I had to listen to them once again.

I only played some flac from my mobile phone through a cheap little amp.
But I immediatley felt the magic. Instantly I was hesitating to sell them.  azn
Those were only cheap old FE206, but with the right kind of music those fullrange drivers really shine.

I bet your Corals in the blh+flh have plenty of that magic.
And they look stunning.
Have fun listening to your speakers.

those front horns.. are they mdf bult?
they look classy!
I thought of mdf as material for front but i was afraid that it's too soft.
What are the drivers?

Finally, i've got time to take measurments.
Coral Beta 8 indeed dosn't need support from JBL2405, but i just like it.
