I just finished my B51 project.
Underneed I take parts from a Lenco 75, like the motor, the spindle, the idler arm with a new wheel from Italy and of course the platter. On eBay I collect also an old platter mat.
As plint I made a masive one from walnut.
An New Old Stock Ortophone AS212, completed with an SPU headshell and a Denon DL-103R finshed I use as arm.
The challange on this project for me was to move the arm hole, because the effective lenght of the Ortofon is less then the original one from the B51.
I personal like the color contrast betweem the dark walnut and the crème B51 base.

It looks really nice!   smiley  The rounded edges on the plinth goes well with the rounded edges of the top plate.  The SPU headshell crowns the vintage look!   cool

Wonderful, absolutely stunning and I agree with you the contrast between the dark plinth wood and the cream top plate is beautifully classic.

Well done.

Pretty combination of new and old.  You're right, the cream with the walnut is a nice contrast.
