An idler and a belt drive!  Great to have both presentations for reference, tailor your music to the turntable that serves it best.

Very nice.   cool

Hello Scott,

the Sondek (Lingo, Keel, Ekos II Akiva) is already sold off, since the performance of the L 75 was so far better (a few Jean Naintais tweaks applied of course  shocked).

The first one has a Shure V 15 III with a Jico needle. I tried the Ed Saunders needle as well but was disappointed by the silbliance in the high frequency range.

The 2nd deck I am building right now has a Lenco P77 tonearm installed and a Zuaudio DL-103 MkII MC pickup installed. Quite 2 different impressions soundwise.

The V 15 III is supported by an ifi iPhono2 phonopre, the Zuaudio is sitting in front of a Ray Samuels Audio Nighthawk F117.

The deck will have to have a bit taken care of in the paintbooth after mofifying the top plate for the P77.

I will post pics, after the job is done.

Cheers
Matthias

Very cool.   i think you'll like the P77 arm.  Still kind of "old school", but well made and performs well.

Hi,

even though I am a few steps behind schedule....the arm already performs very good together with the Zuaudio Pickup  wink

Hi,

There was never any question, of the Lenco being better than the Sondek, which I am sorry, but do not rate, these are only my views.

Hello Pavel,

the original design is Oyade.

Sien does these in Stainless Steel. Puts 2 Kgs on top of the original platter weight.

Sounds very impressive though the tonearm cables will yet have to be burned in......

I will report, after everything is sorted out.

Cheers,

I am doing these myself using vintage parts and Original Western Electric cables from the 1940s.

Quite a difference.......

The Headshell is made out of Carbon.

That's super impressive. I wish I had skills and equipment to make something like this myself.
