What a great looking deck...some very fine workmanship went into building it you should be very proud.

Do you have any more photos/description of how you made the silver interconnects ....I’m thinking of making a set but have no real idea of where to source the materials ?

Thanks everyone! I'm really enjoying the beautiful sound of my build. It's sounds very expensive. Although the build was not cheap, it really sounds like much higher priced TT's.
At the same time I build two Thorens tables on the side, one with SME arm and the same Kiseki cartridge, and it even doesn't get close. The ptp6 is way more relaxed. Better timing. On spot. Has a better bass performance and so on. I really love it.

To further make my build complete, I ordered a custom acrylic dust cap and did a logo design and type plate to make it complete.

As asked before, we (a good audio friend and I) also compared the two Valab lcr1 phono amps. New one (in black, see the picture) and almost new one (the silver one which is mine).
The new one doesn't sound as good as the older ones in our opinion. The new one somehow lacks in the lower end. We also measured a -3dB from 700Hz downwards. That is also what we heard. Also the mids and highs where a little stressed. Congested. To narrow and tightened sounding without the lush and open soundstage of the older one. The new one already has some mileage, so it can’t be al not breaking in completely. We have to wait what the builder (Kevin) says, maybe it has a transport "bug". For now, our conclusion is that the new one is good and worth every penny but it's no longer a bargain as the previous one. I feel lucky that I ordered it a couple of months sooner.

Enjoy a record full weekend with great music!
Here are some pictures of the hood, logo and even my Thorens build just for fun. Sorry that that's of topic.

Nice PTP6 build.

Where did you get the O ring that you put on the platter? What size?

Thanks.

Can you share the CAD files for the case and the platter? I'd also be interested in the PSU

Many thanks in advance
