Very few of these on this side of the pond....

Managed to get this to 110V operation (these were made for Europe) and swapped out the old Chinese Gold Dragons which had been in there since the 90’s for a pair of JJ E88CC.

Chris65 has spoken highly of the JJ’s here and there in various threads but I haven’t had the opportunity to try them until now.

95/95 and 95/95gm. How’s that for a matched set of triodes? Looks promising! Have some 6N2P as well I might try or maybe stash for another build.

Interesting hybrid design in the Copland. Loads of coveted Toshiba JFets. Overall built like a tank- really impressive construction.

Once I get done re-biasing I’ll give it a whirl.

I have a feeling this will be a keeper for the office system.

Figured I’d share, and curious to know who else out there has used this model or brand and what they think.

Have I? News to me..... undecided grin
Good looking amp, & think they have a pretty good reputation. The Russian equivalent to the E88CC/6922 is the 6N23p-ev, which is a great sounding tube IMHO.

Maybe I’m crazy and it was someone else?

Wouldn’t be the first time.

Interesting that they seem to be one of the few new production tubes not made in either Russia or China.

I’ve heard some like the 6N23P over the 6N23P-EV for reasons I don’t recall at the moment.

I got my hands on a matched pair of 6N23P from Vokshod plant, silver shields. Interested to try them.

I’m ok with polite if it can also be articulate.

I’m enjoying what I’m hearing so far.

You can always adjust the tube stage for taste.

PS Ian was yours new or used? I noticed as the tubes had aged in mine the bias was pretty out of wack.
