If you are still logging in I am very impressed by your pace and would be interested in your observations regarding the sound before and after including with the benefit of your new fat arm.  On top of what I think is your plinth top layer is the partial metered top layer. Was this to do with your 10.5mm gap and does either the top plate or pan rest on it? Is it the top layer from the drawings but with a smaller perimeter? Is that your own innovation or is it the accepted way to deal with the gap?  A finished pic would be great.

The Cherry Red is a brave choice ..... But it goes great with the red lettering of the alloy face plate.
