Look what I just collected from post office, shiny, shiny tonearm. I've been looking at these for a while, handmade and sold via Facebook. But now and again the manufacturer sells some of his prototypes or samples on eBay at good prices hence me falling for this one.

"Nice Simple tonearm pivot to spindle is 222mm adjustable VTA via 2 grub screws on the mounting ring. 26mm hole required for mounting fitted with 1.2m of good quality cable and gold phono plugs. Recommended cartage's between 4g to 10g gross weight".

Hoping I might get it fitted on my Ariston RD40 this weekend.

The whole combo looks really  cool

What are your impressions regarding the sound, compared to other tonearm that you may have used with the Ariston before?

Regards,

It is promising, haven't got it dialed in properly yet, got to play with vta as it's a bit bright with the AT VM-95ML.

Previous arm was Linn Basik LVX

Mind you my hearing has been problematic the last few weeks, bouts of very sensitive hearing, poor hearing and a new phase of tinnitus sad

Looks great! I took a look at the prices the manufacturer sells sample arms for on Ebay and they look amazing value.

Looks like a well made arm Malcolm, for me the tonearm and cart are what make the biggest difference  smiley

Yes it's well made, was easy to set up. Only issue I've had is it came with a 2g antiskate weight whereas I'm having to use 4g and 5g would give more adjustment.

Sounds really good though, no play in bearings and firm mounting.

Looks a nice combo on the turntable.
Hope your hearing improves so you can get it dialled in and enjoy it!
