Wow David, impressive work. Good to see the humble Decca International on such a high end deck. I'm still enjoying the wobbly thing on my Lenco.
Very cool that you give tutorials to Lenco-enthusiasts. Makes me wanna build a slatedeck too. Maybe a trip to Amsterdam soon.....

Give the butler a big tip and send him to Brussels with some of that shiny gear....

Cheers,  Jos

Awesome David.  The looks are balanced and classy between the shiny silver, matte silver and the black.
We've seen little hints of what you were up to with some of your pictures, but this is great.  Even more impressive is that fact you managed to build 2 slate rack units as well (which look nice too BTW).

What I'm really impressed about is the tutorial you gave friends/coworkers about Lencos and you guys managed to build 2 that very day.  Amazing dedication and you're almost as secretive about your projects as I am... releasing such a beautiful build with almost no warning.

The slate bases for the speakers are a good idea as well, I didn't know of your home's construction and your solution sounds like it's a good choice.  Astute observation about how the cleaner bass makes the midrange and treble lay back yet become more clear.

Jos - the Decca International arm is a giant killer, it wobbles so free that it should not work, but it sings !  grin

Scott - your builds are very inspirational. I have kept quiet because of the amount of frustration and piggy backed with a number of friends patiently waiting for the day to arrive, a couple are still waiting mind you - sorry guys ! However, the build confirms a lot of things for me and certainly its nice to able to keep the system yet improve it with the right means. The timing could not come a better time in the end. My bass units have really opened up, after 16 months of running in, Charlie Azzolina did tell me that they would take 1500 to 2000 hours to open up .....like a life time !! The Terminator T3pro has no wand now, just straight headshell for rolling carts and the tonearm wire is silver direct to RCA. With the system almost, this was the best time to compare the differences when the new furniture, new plinth and new ideas.

Its just going to be a great summer of music my friends !!

Thanks for all the kind words ..........ok there is another project .......I am planning a 16 inch platter ! now don't say I did not warn you  tongue tongue

nice!
Are these the dreaded thick slate pieces that you've previously mentioned, that you won't be able to lift by yourself in a few more years? :)

Fantastic work David, you kept that quiet! lipsrsealed
Beautiful look to the Lenco, and I thought it was pretty awesome before.
Look forward to hearing it when we next get a chance. I had my PTP project planned but you've upset that with new ideas!!
That switch is 12V?? Was thinking of doing the same, inspired by Bert's project too.

Fantastic work David! Love the "Lenco workshop" as well. Hmm ... I must hire a butler to move my Lenco about, your friend has the right idea, there laugh

I bet your system sounds even more mind-blowing cool Looking forward to seeing the 16" platter now  shocked

David, all good stuff, marvelous!

I have one half of your front end perhaps both soon.

I've always had a problem finding a mat that looks good on my SP10 i have French Sorbomat thing atm, however that looks like a Lenco mat on yours and i like it very much.

Now i'll need two mats and i can't even find one of 'em.

Sharp eyes Deck  cool funny but I do prefer the L78 mat on the SP10 and the SP10 mat on the Lenco  cheesy
