Which Steve? Steve from St.Paul Steve? If so, he's been holding out on us...
Scott, I showed it to you the other day when the MN LH crew was over, I guess the flurry of activity overshadowed that brief moment. No hold out by me...need some ebony? I have the Gabon variety.

I now remember you holding it up, but there was a lot going on and so many fun conversations! I wish I would have looked a little closer at it.

Chris,
Have you received your F8 yet? Curious if you will get an owner's manual or spec sheet.
Best,
Jim

Have finally mounted the Ebony Grace and it sounds great! No chances yet to compare directly with the aluminum body, but initially it sounds very similar. I have yet to glue it into the ebony so it is currently slid in there. Still can be move, but the performance is already quite high. I have to decide which type of adhesive to use as it will only be held on the sides. When the cartridge is removed from the original body, it comes apart to reveal that the black part labeled Grace is actually a shim. This must be used in the new body as well.

Friends. After customs almost ate it it is now in use, beautifully playing Donny Hathaway´s "A song for you" - what a sad and wonderful ballad - at 1.6 and even it´s not perfectly adjusted - I love it. Can´t say, which model it is really, the needle is clear plastic without any further number on it. Love it from the beginning - very lifelike and dynamic, sweet and involving. No need for MCs Cheers Chris

Jim. As promised, here are fotos from the little spec paper, that came with the cart. I hope, you can read it. From comparing the specs, the idea came up, that only the 3.5mv carts of the F8 line really compare to the famed F9e for example. But mine kicks out 5mv and I love it. BTW - the compliance of your cart is lower than of mine, so that it makes sense when it matches the Schick Cheers Chris

I think it is an F8-L Chris. There is a catalogue in the download files at vinyl engine that shows the F8 and F9 models in colour.

Ironic thing is I was just given a NOS Grace F9E Ruby stylus. Only problem is, I don't have a body. You guys make me wanna hear that cartridge. Badly at that. Any ideas for a body?

Hi Chris, I've looked for the F8 cartridge without a number and can't find it, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. If the F8 number sequence is the same as the F9 sequence then your stylus will be basically the same as an 'E' but with higher output.
All I can say Kent is "YOU LUCKY LUCKY B@#$@#D!!", start searching for a cartridge body, there is a lot more of them around than there are NOS styli.
