Hi all,

I thought I had bought a NOS Ortofon VMS3 MKII cartridge of the bay but received an AKG P6R from the seller instead.

Do I ask for a refund or have I received a better cartridge?

Appreciate your help

Thanks

Hello Lee,

the AGK P6R is the DJ version of the AGK P6E cartridge. The P6R will cope with backcueing. Quality wise, I would not like the Ortofon nor AKG, both are entry level cartrides from over 4 decades ago.

I don't know what you paid for the VMS 3 mk II cartridge you didn't get, hope that it was a rather small amount. If you paid real money, then insist on return/refund and get something better.

Best regards, Tony

Thanks Tony,
It was about £17 with the headshell.
I suppose I could just keep the head-shell, but I am a bit annoyed it’s a totally different cartridge from what was offered.
There’s no point in me keeping a DJ cartridge that’s for sure.
