MBLE bbo 846 tube amp speaker impedance Question.

Now that i have a Lenco l70, a MBLE bbo 846 mono tube amp for playing my 78 records i am looking for a (pair of) loudspeaker(s) or i will build a mono loudspeaker with a high efficiency full range unit.
The tube amp has a 5-7 ohm and a 15 ohm speaker connection on the back which seems to be normal at that time!
Will it be a problem if i connect an 8 ohm loudspeaker to the 5-7 ohm connection of the amp or say two 8 ohm loudspeakers in serie so that it is 16 ohm and connect them into the 15 ohm loudspeaker connection of the amp.
I am affraid that this will damage the amplifier by blowing it up or overloading something.
Hope to hear from you people.

Hi Dennis,
You would prefer an 8 Ohm speaker on the 5-7 output. Putting two (8 Ohm) drivers in series may deteriorate the damping and emphasize the resonance. It all depends, also, on the actual units and their enclosure.
Hoping this helps,

An 8 ohm speaker is fine on the 5-7 ohm output.
Just don't run the amplifier without a speaker connected as valve amps need a load connected.

Thank you both, an 8 ohm loudspeaker is a lot easier to find, and thank you for the tip, i did not know that valve amps need a load if you run them.
