Hi.

A bought a pair of Swedish early, probably 1973, Mirsch OM 3-28 (4ohm) design by Olle Mirsch.

Didn’t know anything about the man or the speakers but found this:

Ok.

Here they are. Mirsch OM 3-28, where 3 is the number of elements and 28 is the size in litres. In need of a bit of service before they can be put in use.

I’ve ordered Elastic Rubber Edge For the 8” basses.

Hi Mattias,

I’ve ordered Elastic Rubber Edge For the 8” basses.

Why don't you use foam surrounds as Philips did back than? These 8 inch surrounds are readily available, even surrounds for Albeka 8.5 inch are available.

Information on Olle Mirsch's högtalare (love this swedish word that means speaker) is quite rare, but there is some information on https://www.faktiskt.io where Olle has been active during his late years (he died some years ago) and there's also a facebook group 'Olle Mirsch Högtalare'.

My Mirsch (two sets now) still need new surrounds fitted to the bass drivers... but I already have custom made badges for them  angel

These foam surrounds for Philips 8 inch drivers fit nicely (haven't glued them yet).
And you can always get one for the price of two if you like to...

For the record:
Mirsch used Philips 8 inch and Albeka (Swedish) 8.5 inch bass drivers.
Foam surround for 8.5 inch Albeka drivers are available as well.

Hi, I have a pair of these speakers, been in my loft for over 30 years. Would they be too old to use now?
