Today I started tracing over the drawing onto the wood and start cutting.
It has been a while since I did some woodworking, that’s why I start with some cheap MDF pieces.

I’m planning to router the outlines so that the metal plate sinks.
I want to create a similar distance, the outline of metal plate and the ‘pan’ where the platter rests.

I also want to see how big the plinth has going to be. For sure it’s to big now.

That's what I am thinking for my project.
First cut a cheap template before cutting the real plinth.
For me it will also be a good final impression on how big I want the plinth to be.
