Colin,
I pulled that picture from the net, the one I am looking is very simular but it does not appear to have the arm lift lever.
The owner is calling it a pl 6 with no A or E designation.
Some how I missed Mikes thread, good stuff Mike!

Thanks

Hi Ed,

As you can see from Mike's thread, I also have a PL-7. Still in bits, too many projects, so haven't actually used it.
From what I can tell, there are only slight variations in PL6/7 models, mainly the arm & different type motor units, but same basic design.

Yeah, if the price is reasonable, go for it. Then you can tell me how it sounds cheesy

Another PL-7 thread here: http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=305612

grin laugh laugh
I just got lucky thats all. I have not found a Lenco for sale in Austin ever, but I did my buy Sansui 929 for 20 dollars some years back.
As for Pete....well, not sure I'd call him a national treasure! laughing6 But there is room you and all your gear so some on down!
Malcolm is right, lots of good live music all the time, plus SXSW, ACL Fest, Kerville Folk Festival, Old Settlers Bluegrass Festival.

Hi Ed,

small world! My friend Frank told me about it 'buy now' for $175 and I countered for $125 and he $150 and now you scored it for $50. Great! I may be crossing wires but did Frank mention the arm was likely Audio Vector? Keep reporting what an idiot I was...  cheesy wink

Glad it went to a good home and David is right, rare as hen's teeth!

BTW, isn't the online translation funny!? It is like the Braun with belt driven idler...

The photograph in the other thread about PL7 shows a 50/60Hz selector switch. Can somebody explain how this works? First time I have seen this on any a/c motor driven tt.
