After using a Realistic Amplifier, with a Ceramic cartridge input, for my stereo Crystal and Ceramic cartridges, I decided to use it in the mono system to audition a few more Crystal cartridges.

Good news was that using this amplifier with a broad range of cartridges proved to be no problem.  My previous experiments with various amps and mixers resulted in one cartridge output was ok but the next would cause overload and need a different amp.

The Realistic Ceramic cartridge input just worked, yes some cartridges were louder than others, but no distortion or overload was produced.   Just a tweak of the volume control was all that was needed.

I have grown to like this record during my tests,

It was in a bunch of records from a car boot and had no outer cover.

First cartridge

Yes, I think there was some sharing of tech, although it's a shame the Collaro did not use the same stylus as the Ronette -  much easier to replace.

The Ronette DC 284 was next up

I use a similar Ronette mono cartridge in my Grundig 1088 tube radio. Fantastic sound
