Hi all,
So, I decided to service the motor on my L-78 and discovered that the bearing on the front part of the shaft is missing (the spherical one). I had done service on it before and never noticed that it was missing, but perhaps I didn't put it back together properly, and misplaced it. I literally have no idea.
In any case, it's been quite some time since I last used my turntable, with a move in between, so it's unlikely I'd ever find it if I did put it somewhere.
Long story short, does anyone know if there is a source of replacements for this?
Thanks,
Byron

We should know where are you from ...
In any case you can look up online, searching for bearing or spindle bearing Lenco L75 ... (the same as for L78)

I'm not sure there is meant to be a ball bearing at either end of the motor spindle.

The spindle ends themselves are rounded and contact a thrust pad at he stator end and a sprung thrust plate at the nose end.

If you mean the sintered bronze spherical bearings then replacements can be bought from Italy.

Hi there,
Thanks for the information. Yes, it's the spherical bearing that I need. I only saw it on this post, otherwise I never would've know they were needed: https://www.lencoheaven.net/forum/index.php?topic=2087.0
I seem to be missing the chamfered washer and the spherical bearing sad
I am in Canada, btw.

Yeah, I see that...unfortunately it's almost as much to ship them as they cost - I found a person in England that I can get a whole motor from for less...

Sorry, but of which bearings are you speaking about? How could your motor run without the sinterbronze bearings? It's impossible!

Yes, of course it is impossible to be working. The bearing must be in there, it just doesn't really want to come out for a cleaning, but I am sure it will with some coaxing
Thanks everyone
