TD 124 plinth suggestion

I'm in the process of having a 124 restored and have yet to settle on a plinth. I plan to use a 12" arm but could see getting a smaller plinth and an extended armboard. Considering the Schopper solid design. Has anyone used one of these? There's an ebay seller with one that is less expensive and has more layers of baltic birch plywood. Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Joe
