Anyone have a SUT suggestion that would pair well with an Ortofon SPU Synergy? I'm looking for something in the 1000-1500 range or so.

Hi, With all the SUP's you need to consider the loading, in this case 2ohms, that is very low.
Why not just use a Ortofon ST-80 SE Transformer, a bit over your price range, but you should get a S/H one for around the price you are willing to spend. Try looking in HiFi Shark web site.
